Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was the first child born to the family of Oyakhilome, and was born December 7, 1973 to Tim Oyakhilome. He was a pupil at the secondary and primary school, then he went to Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria, where he got an BSc. in Architecture.


Pastor Chris Oyakhilome AAU also conferred him with an honourary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Science degree from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was before was married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

While still studying at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome got involved in the ministry. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship was known at the time as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC increased in size, and became the biggest campus organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the church’s main office. Believer’s LoveWorld, a worldwide ministry with millions upon millions of members around the globe has been renamed Believers LoveWorld.

Through the”Atmosphere of Miracles” series, BLW became Africa’s most prominent Christian ministry through television. They stopped airing it in May 2004 when President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria declared that churches should stop broadcasting miracles.
